On 6th September 2021, Neesha lost a very close friend due to a farming accident.
Tomos Rhys Bunford was just 9 years old when he was crushed by a water bowser on a local farm in Ynysybwl in this tragic accident.
Since then, Neesha and Tom’s family have been trying to think of ways in which they could raise awareness for farm safety in memory of Tomos.
They chose The Farm Safety Foundation (also known as Yellow Wellies) as their charity of choice, whose aim is to raise awareness of farm safety through Engagement, Communication, Education & Research.
Neesha decided to shave her head on 9th April 2022 to raise money for the charity and said:
“If this helps just one family not to go through what Toms family is going through then it will be worth it.” – Neesha Lougher
Since then, she then decided to hold an Easter Raffle to raise even more money for her colleagues to win one of four Easter Hampers.
We wish Neesha and Tomos’ family all the best in raising funds!
