Job Purpose

Driving commercial excellence across the Rocialle Wound Care business to achieve the annual sales budget year on year. Lead effective commercial processes through continuous improvement via coaching and sales technique implementation.

Accountable for leading, defining and implementing the commercial strategy for Rocialle woundcare.  Preparing and implementing impactful annual sales plans to deliver against strategic business targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Commercial & Strategic Leadership:

    • Own and deliver the national wound care business plan, aligned to Rocialle’s strategy.
    • Drive profitable revenue growth, margin improvement, and portfolio penetration.
    • Identify new market opportunities, product gaps, and partnership opportunities.
    • Lead pricing strategy, tender support, and value-based propositions.

     

    Sales Enablement & Account Development:

    • Opportunity pipeline development in line with 3x the annual revenue budget
    • Support and coach Territory Managers on wound care opportunities, deal strategy, formulary inclusion and clinical selling.
    • Personally manage key strategic accounts, frameworks, and complex tenders.
    • Develop Trust-level and ICB-level account strategies across acute, community, and ICS structures.

     

    Clinical & Stakeholder Engagement:

    • Build credibility with the Key Decision Making Units, including Tissue Viability Nurses, Clinical Leads, Procurement, and Senior Decision-Makers.
    • Support clinical evaluations, pathway reviews, and product conversions.
    • Represent Rocialle at conferences, study days, and customer events.

     

    Portfolio & Market Development

    • Lead wound care product launches, range rationalisation, and lifecycle planning.
    • Translate clinical and health-economic evidence into compelling value propositions.
    • Monitor competitor activity, market trends, and NHS policy changes.

     

    Cross-Functional Leadership:

    • Work closely with Marketing on campaigns, messaging, and education programmes.
    • Partner with Operations and Supply Chain to ensure service excellence.
    • Provide regular commercial insights, forecasts, and performance updates to senior leadership.

Experience
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a commercial management role (Business Manager, National Acc Manager) within Wound Care.

 

  • Demonstrable success in a senior sales role, managing team and individual performance to target

 

  • Strong track record selling into the NHS, including tenders, frameworks, and complex stakeholder environments

 

  • Experience across acute, community, or specialist wound care settings Evidenced ability to drive growth through value-based and clinically led selling

Training

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent commercial/clinical experience

 

  • Full current driving licence
  • MBA or Masters Degree in appropriate subject
