Graduate Commercial Sales Analyst

Job Purpose

We’re looking for a driven, tenacious graduate to work in the sales and commercial team where you’ll play a huge part in helping us to achieve our business goals. It’s a fantastic opportunity to make some key recommendations that will impact how we perform as a rapidly growing business.

You’ll love to work with numbers and dig into the detail to help us make informed decisions in a variety of different projects.

You’ll build strong relationships across the business, working closely with the purchasing, finance, and marketing teams to provide clear recommendations for improvements

Competitor analysis is hugely important in the role, therefore understanding the market and how to stay ahead of the curve will be key.

Key Responsibilities

  • Help in the development of systems and models to improve business processes and data reporting
  • Implement a sales forecasting tool to feed into the Sales and Operations Planning process
  • Support the external sales teams in ensuring sales forecasting data is available at all levels
  • Create data to help identify opportunities to drive EBITDA margin improvement
  • Provide a link between Sales and Commercial teams to ensure alignment of targets and priorities
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts
  • Coordinate sales pipeline data
  • Working with the directors to identify poor margin jobs/products/customers, providing information to help the external team implement margin improvement to drive profitability

Education / Experience

  • A relevant, analytical degree gained within the last 2 years
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Highly numerate/analytical mind-set
  • Logical and tenacious approach, demonstrating a can-do attitude

 

  • High level of numeracy and computer literacy essential, including advanced Excel skills
  • Knowledge of PowerBI or similar data visualisation dashboard building would be advantageous
  • Working knowledge of Sales and Operations Planning preferred
  • Applicants with a degree (or equivalent) in a relevant subject, with some work experience will be considered.
  • Proactive and hands on approach
  • Excellent communication skills – verbal and written
  • Organised, accurate and strong attention to detail skills essential
  • Tenacious with a strong drive to succeed under pressure
  • Strong team orientation, friendly and approachable
