Job Purpose

To gain and maintain new business through B2B and B2C whilst working collaboratively with the wider team. To achieve the divisional sales budget within agreed expenditure.

This position will cover the M4 Corridor.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement agreed sales activities under the direction of the Business Development Manager (BDM)
  • Key contributor to developing and growing the Emperor stoma business in order to achieve long-term success
  • Develop results against Key Performance Indicators
  • Develop a thorough understanding of customer needs and requirements to ensure the delivery of solutions to meet their needs
  • Prepare and deliver regional cost-benefit analysis data to key financial decision makers in support of the Emperor strategy & value proposition
  • Develop and maintain a broad knowledge of Rocialle Direct product & service portfolios
  • Develop and maintain a broad knowledge of competitor product & service portfolios
  • Actively seek out new sales leads and business development opportunities
  • Support the research of market trends, demographics, pricing strategies and other relevant information for both current and potential new business areas
  • Maintain excellent customer relationships through superior customer communication skills
  • Provide internal and external product training on the range of products and services within the Emperor stoma product portfolio
  • Support new business opportunities with a ‘can do’ attitude
  • Represent the company at local and national exhibitions in line with divisional tactical plans
  • Responsible for following up regional sales leads in a timely manner, recording and presenting outcomes
  • Carry out any other tasks required to support the needs of the business

Education / Experience

Essential: Minimum of 1 year’s post qualification clinical experience and/or sales experience with demonstrable achievements

Desirable: Educated to a degree level, RGN or equivalent qualification

Skills & Knowledge

  • Time management and planning skills
  • Sound understanding of the NHS at both primary and secondary care levels
  • Demonstrable transferable skill set from clinical background to a sales environment
  • Ability to build early rapport
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite
